Vesselweb is an online directory of Project Support Vessels - any vessel that can support an offshore project, topsides or sub-sea, including newbuild vessels, listed by type. OSV - Offshore Support Vessels

Offshore Support Vessels are purpose built or converted for general offshore support activities. They have DP2 or DP3 and sufficient accommodation to charterer to support a subsea intervention project. They have no specific secondary design role although they could be used for ROV support.

Dive Support Vessels

OSV Dive Support Vessels are purpose built or converted for general offshore support activities, but are equipped with an integral diving system and can act as a dive support vessel in accordance with IMO and IMCA rules and guidelines.

ROV Support Vessels

ROV Support Vessels meet the definition of OSV, but have some degree of modification to facilitate ROV support activities, or who’s primary roles is clearly that of an ROV support vessel.

Cable Lay Vessels

Cable Lay Vessels are purpose built or converted for both offshore support and offshore cable installation or repair activities.

Pipe Lay Vessels

Pipe Lay Vessels are purpose built or converted for major offshore construction activities and also have Reel-lay or I-lay equipment installed.

Accommodation Vessels

OSV / Accommodation Vessels are purpose built or converted for offshore accommodation support. Could convert to an OSV or permutations thereof.

Well Intervention Vessels

OSV Well Intervention Vessels are purpose built or converted for general offshore support activities, but have additional features added, including a moonpool and well intervention equipment handling tower.

Well Stimulation Vessels

OSV Well Stimulation Vessels are purpose built or converted for general offshore support activities, but have additional features added, including well stimulation equipment.

Seismic Vessels

Offshore Seismic Vessels are purpose built or converted for offshore 2D/3D seismic activities. Could convert to an OSV or permutations thereof.

Utility / Work Vessels

Offshore Work Vessels are offshore support vessels that are self powered, and are positioned by DP1 or less, or via a mooring system.

Platform Support Vessels - PSV

OSV PSV's are purpose built or converted for general offshore support activities, but are based on a PSV design and could operate in this role.

AHT

OSV AHTS vessels are Purpose built or converted for general offshore support activities, but are based on an AHT(S) design and could operate in this role.

Heavy Lift Vessels

Heavy lift vessels are purpose built or converted to deal with large loads.

Jackup / Lift Vessels

Jackup / lift vessels have legs that decend to the ocean floor and jack the body of the vessel above the surface creating a stable work platform.

Crew / Security Vessels

A craft whose primary role is transportation of personnel (crew boat) or acting as an offshore patrol vessel (Security).

Stone Dump Vessels

Stone or rock dumping vessels are used to transport and tip stones onto the seabed.

Offshore Renewables Support Vessels

Offshore renewables vessels provide installation and support to wind farms.
